REGULATIONS AND SCHEDULE OF FEES
Garbage and Recycling Bins – New Location
Now Located at the RM Shop Parking Lot in Mayfair
The RM landfill, located SW 31-46-11 W3, is closed for decommissioning and reclamation.
Household garbage bins and recycling bins are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Garbage Bins: Household waste only.
Recycling Bins: Please place only acceptable recyclable materials in the designated recycling bins.
As there is no attendant on site, the area is under video surveillance.
A $2.00 per bag disposal fee applies for household garbage. Please pay at the Municipal Office at your earliest convenience or by e-transfer to rm466@sasktel.net. Your honesty and cooperation is appreciated. Continued abuse of the service or failure to pay disposal fees may result in the service being restricted or discontinued.
The following materials are NOT accepted in the garbage or recycling bins:
- Hazardous Materials – tires, propane tanks, batteries, paint/solvent containers, oil, oil filters, oil jugs, chemicals, pesticides
- Contaminated soil, dirt or gravel
- Burning barrels or ashes Shingles
- Grain of any type
- Carcasses
- Asbestos
- Twine
- Electronics and appliances
- Concrete
- Non-treated or non-painted wood
- Metal
- Furniture
During this time, only household garbage collection and recycling is available at the new location.
For disposal of other materials, please use the 16 to 43 Waste Management Corporation located west of Hafford.
Council also encourages ratepayers to consider having a garbage bin at their residence.
Sharing a bin with a neighbor can be a cost-effective option while reducing trips to the RM collection site.
