November 9-15 is Local Government Week, a week to raise awareness and engagement in local democracy.
As part of Local Government Week, Saskatchewan’s Local Government Week Committee is offering a free virtual session for residents interested in learning more about local government in Saskatchewan.
On November 12 at 6:30 p.m., join local government representatives for an open forum where you can ask your local government questions. What exactly are local governments? What process does my local government use to make decisions?
Register for the session.
Local Government Week is a partnership between the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, Métis Nation – Saskatchewan, Municipalities of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities, and the Saskatchewan School Boards Association.

We are encouraging our ratepayers to download the SASKALERT APP so that you are receiving critical COVID-19 information in a timely manner.
The app also allows people to choose how and when to hear the emergency alerts. The more people that have the app, the more efficient they can be with targeting people in a specific area, including our jurisdiction, that might require emergency information.
All members of Council are elected to office for a term of four years. Reeves are elected at large by all voters, and Councillors are elected only by voters qualifying to vote in their division. Your property tax notice contains information about your voting division. Please contact the municipal office to discuss if you have any questions regarding either running for Council, and Election Procedures.
